La cryo what???

Cryolipolysis is a technique without needles and without surgery intended to destroy small localized fatty deposits using cold. It is not indicated if you are very overweight (in which case it is better to turn to other techniques) but rather if you want to eliminate stubborn fat generally located on:

· the stomach and love handles

· buttocks and thighs: saddlebags, fold under the buttocks, inner thighs

· the arms

· knees

· the back 

· the double chin

This technique only works on fatty deposits and on fatty cellulite, which is clearly visible by pinching the skin (orange peel) and which is not painful. But has no effect on aqueous cellulite linked to water retention as well as fibrous cellulite which is old, hard and painful.

 

The principle

 Suction or expose the fatty area to intense cold, the fat cells being very vulnerable to the cold will then be eliminated naturally during the 2 to 3 months following the session.

 

My experience

I was contacted to test a Cryolipolysis session with the machineCRISTAL, it is to date the leader in cryolipolysis medical devices. So I said to myself why not!

I went to a first appointment with a cosmetic surgeon who explained to me how cryolipolysis works, examined me and took my measurements.

My wish was to exterminate the accumulation of fat located in the fold under the buttocks. The doctor estimated that the accumulation of fat was not enormous, it would be more judicious in order to have a more visible result to attack this fold but also my saddlebags, i.e. the side of the top of my thighs. Since I was a teenager, I have always stocked up on my buttocks and thighs, it’s my body type and I admit that I am also very greedy. 

He still told me that the areas chosen were not the easiest to treat and that the results would be more obvious on an area like the stomach.

Here I am back at the office a few days later to spend 3 hours (1h30 for each zone) lying on an armchair under a blanket with Netflix, quite nice?

Sensation level it's cold, quite strange for a few minutes then the area is so cold that it goes numb and you no longer feel anything.

After 3 hours I start to feel cold, it's time for it to stop.

We will now have to wait 2 months for my body to naturally expel the fat through my urine (I know it's very glam!)

And here I am 2 months later to give you feedback on my results.

Sorry there won't be any before/after photos, because honestly I don't feel at all comfortable with these photos.

As the doctor was able to tell me, the result is not obvious in a single session.

I lost two cms and I saw an improvement in cellulite which is less present, the orange peel appearance has diminished. The doctor warned me that this is a difficult area to combat and I clearly think that it would require additional sessions to get a good result.

 

My opinion on cryolipolysis:

It is a non-invasive method and much less traumatic than liposuction.

 I would still advise you to be careful and have your session with a doctor and not in a beauty center. The machines are apparently not the same and nothing beats the presence of a doctor to carry out this type of experiment.
