As you know, for some time now I have been chasing away my excess pounds. After successfully completing my slimming treatment and losing my 6 kg (I had set myself a target of 5 kg), I wanted to say goodbye to my unsightly bulges once and for all. When I talk about bulges, I mean my love handles, which I cannot lose despite having abs tested in every direction.

I had inquired about liposuction (yes, I really had it fixed), but the pain and the price quickly put me off. It costs no less than €3,000 with major surgery and, above all, recovery within several weeks. For bulges, I didn't want to attack my body so much and above all I am absolutely not ready to suffer so much.

By researching the issue, I realized that there were other processes, includingcryolipolysis, a truly revolutionary technique according to several specialist journals. And what's more, the aesthetic medicine center, Cléage where I had my skin booster done, practiced it. My Beauty Doctor informed me before taking the plunge, I admit that I had heard that the pain at the time was horrible, that you could end up with burned skin... in short, I needed to be reassured and above all that it is really explained to me what it is and how it happens. Because after all,what is cryolipolysis really?

The “cryo” (after having tested it I can now call it by its little name), is a process whichreduces excess fat by cold, without needle, without scar, without anesthesia in short WITHOUT SURGERY! It's quick (60 min) and above all painless because you can resume your activities right after... (the same evening I had an aperitif with my friends).

I will tell you my simpler step by step experience to tell you everything.

STEP 1:

appointment made at Cléage for the big day, weighing the pros and cons, I told myself that for this summer if I wanted to have a hottie body it was now or never (you have to between 2 or 3 months to have the final results, so it's exactly the right time for this summer ;-). That despite my very developed cozy side, I could suffer a little bit that I would not regret it, that the price (360 € per area) was really nothing compared to what I was able to spend on CELLU M6 type care (I I always regained the fat afterwards, it's a surface treatment and I really wanted to do a deep destruction of the fat so as not to see it come back)

The Dr (this treatment should only be done with a doctor) measured me, took a photo, calculated the size of my bulge (that was glamorous for the moment), inspected the quality of my skin. Thanks to this, he can adjust the intensity of the machine, the cold... For my part, he decided to immerse me at -7°C

STEP 2: installation

I sat down in my underwear on a 3/4 lengthened chair. The doctor's assistant started to protect me with a gel on the defined area. I decided to put an end to my love handles! The gel is the one used for ultrasounds. She really spreads my stomach and hip, then places large compresses, puts gel on top. It is essential to protect the skin. The doctor (and I repeat, but ONLY the doctor) installs the device. These are suction cups (chosen according to the area to be treated, there are several sizes in order to grip the bulge) connected to the central machine and this is what will suck the skin. The “brain” of the machine (The Cléage center uses the Cristal brand N°1 of machines in France) is equipped with a heat extractor using electrodes. Fatty tissues freeze quickly to drop below zero degrees.

STEP 3: starting cryolipolysis and my opinion on the pain

I might as well tell you that at that moment I wasn't feeling proud... We start with a suction cup on my left side, the sensation is quite strange. It feels like the skin is being pulled. At the same time the other suction cup is also placed. You may have the feeling of being torn apart. This impression should last 1 minute, because the cold quickly anesthetizes the pain and honestly, you don't feel anything! The unpleasant sensation lasts 1 min!!! It’s amazing… Here we go for 60 minutes of suction. In the meantime, I read, I check my emails, I even called a friend, we are not at all embarrassed to talk.

STEP 4: end of treatment

The doctor and his assistant are there to ensure the end of the treatment. I have been warned that my skin will be very red, this is completely normal. Dr Beauty's assistant massages me with a soothing cream, just to make the 3 unpleasant minutes pass like ants (normally the skin has been frozen). The redness is impressive, but 3 hours later I had absolutely nothing left.

The results D+1
I no longer have any marks on the body of the suction cups (barely a little bruise on the back). However, I'm still sore. I have no sensitivity in the treated area. I moisturize my skin a lot with shea butter (but you can also massage with a slimming cream, I haven't done it, I hope I don't regret it, but I really wanted to moisturize). I really felt my body being worked and the area remained very sensitive for 8 days (on some people this effect can last 15 days). I was able to resume all my activities without problems and without pain, it’s even amazing!

The D+30 results
I am here today. I have visually lost part of my bulge, there is still a little left, but I can no longer catch it in my fingers. The final result will be displayed in 2 months. Until then, I'm thinking of doing my saddlebags (I have a little fat under my butt, I know it will be very effective).

My opinion on cryolipolysis: 
I think it is THE most effective treatment. It is above all under medical supervision and therefore reassuring. It is a deep treatment that permanently eliminates fat cells. However, I think that you shouldn't be obese, it's great, after a diet like me. You must have your weight stabilized and above all not yo-yo because otherwise it will be less effective over time. The results would be stunning. I will keep you informed of the rest, but for the moment I have stabilized my size 36 and I no longer overflow on my Mango jeans (as in photo 1). To be continued…
